These poplars are a feature of the Grainsby Estate, I met someone whose uncle helped to plant them. They feature in many of the pictures in this and surrounding squares. This is a grey, misty spring day, with some Sahara dust thrown in for good measure, creating the worst air pollution for a long time and increased risk to asthma and heart and lung disease sufferers. It's been like this for a week now, but tomorrow the wind will increase and change and send it all to the continent. The mist has made for some amazing tree-scapes involving these dramatic lines of poplars.
