A view of the back of the school and its playing field from farmland to its south. The new Academy began construction in 2007 and was officially opened in early 2010, replacing the former building in Academy Road. (See Image]). Moffat Academy is a combined Primary and Secondary School in which there is a Nursery. It also caters for children with Specific Learning Difficulties. The school services the Burgh and the valleys of Upper Annandale/Eskdale. The school currently has 301 pupils on roll. Front view: Image The building under construction: Image
