Formerly known as no. 14, West Street (now 14 St James Close), it is the last of the surviving houses in this terrace before 1960s redevelopment destroyed most of the remainder of "old" West Street. During the demolition that followed, the N wall of no. 14 was rebuilt when the adjacent house to which it was attached was demolished.
