Between Pretoria Street and Seymour Street, dwellings at Nos.75 to 99 Hawthorn Avenue. Hawthorn Avenue was in existence by 1824 when it is shown in the parish of North Ferriby as Wold Ings Road (30 feet wide) on a plan of Wold Carr, Wold Ings and Dairycoates. It became Chalk Lane by 1853-56, before adopting its present name circa 1898.
