A good example of a few recurring rural Aberdeenshire features - the wee 'cottar hoose' extended into a modern dwelling with extensions to the rear and upstairs added - old croft buildings with corrugated iron sheeting for roofs - small awkward bits of land - previously cultivated - now given over to equine residence because they are impractical for tractors to whizz up and down
