A few traces of Art Deco but more Festival of Britain style, as befitting its 1950s date. The glass foyer is original. By Roger Bullivant. Pevsner dates it to 1956, but this is trumped by eminent Geographer Dave Hitchborne who tells me he saw the first film screened here, Mandy, in 1952. As is apparent, now a Mecca bingo hall.
