Rockwell Lane on Thorpe Edge, Bradford has seen many changes over the last 150 years. It is marked on Victorian maps as a route through farmland and on the 1940's Ordnance Survey map it is crossed by a railway line. Over the last fifty years a council estate has come and mostly gone with York House (right side of picture) still remaining. Rockwell Medical Centre, in the middle distance, is occupied by Dr N. B. Winn & Partners. Dr Winn is in the sports car! This view will soon alter as new houses are being built, hence the construction lorry in the background.
