Although clearly once a village church on the outskirts of Gravesend, St Peter & St Paul, Milton next Gravesend with Denton (to give it its full title according to the notice board) has been thoroughly absorbed in the eastward march of the town. The west tower is Perpendicular while the rest of the church is described by Pevsner as "a fragment". The chancel has been demolished. This view of the churchyard looks along the main path to the west door. This must be about the most colourful and attractive churchyard I have seen. Few country churchyards are quite like this one in springtime.
