Despite its surroundings within Gravesend and next to the very busy East Milton Road (A226), the Churchyard of St Peter & St Paul, Milton next Gravesend with Denton (to give it its full title according to the notice board) must be about the most colourful and attractive I have seen. Few country churchyards are quite like this one in springtime. Although clearly once a village church on the outskirts of Gravesend, it has been thoroughly absorbed in the eastward march of the town. The west tower is Perpendicular while the rest of the church is described by Pevsner as "a fragment". The chancel has been demolished. For more information on the history of the church see http://miltonanddentonchurch.org.uk/?page_id=89 and for what to see in the churchyard see http://miltonanddentonchurch.org.uk/?page_id=249
