This group of seats offers stylish respite from the busy Camberwell Road. The massive composite timbers are offset on the supports, creating a perch, a wheelchair space, a plaything and a sculpture as well as a conventional seat. Manufacturer: Santa & Cole. The Victorians taught us that furniture and structures in public parks have to be highly robust to withstand daily use, abuse and all weathers. These seats are in that tradition. In the background are the artificial knolls that partly screen the adjoining buildings and presage the scale of the park.
