A post-war pedestrianised shopping street, rebuilt after war damage. The low-rise buildings in front, between Eyre Street from which this photo was taken, and The Moor have been cleared, no doubt for some revolutionary extravaganza of a shopping centre which will revitalise the city and put a spring back into the locals' steps as they skip gaily from one retail offering to the next.
