Darn o hen Gamlas Penclawdd sy bellach yn llwybr cyhoeddus. Mae ol yr hyn sy'n edrych fel llwybr halio i'w weld ar y chwith. Adeiladwyd y gamlas 3½ milltir o hyd yn 1814 er cludo glo o ardal Waunarlwydd i Aber Llwchwr ym Mhenclawdd. Byrhoedlog oedd y fenter oherwydd fe'i caewyd yn 1818. A section of the former 3½ mile Penclawdd Canal which is now a public footpath. The remains of what looks like the tow path can be seen on the left. Completed in 1814 the canal transported coal from the pits in the Waunarlwydd area to the Burry Estuary in Penclawdd. The venture, however, was short lived as the canal was closed in 1818.
