On the north side of Hessle Road, opposite the Winfields store at Nos.283-287 is a pillar box with a plate attached to its west-facing side, inscribed: 'This post box has been painted gold by Royal Mail to celebrate Luke Campbell Gold Medal winner London 2012 Olympic Games Boxing: Men's Bantam Weight' This is also inscribed in braille.
