This unusual building is now used by the Pregnancy Advisory Service and stands on the corner of Lever Street with Faraday Street. I love the way the corner window is recessed with the upper storey being "stepped" outwards over it. Someone has suggested it might have been to avoid being hit by large loads coming round the corner, but I have no more information.
