The dual carriageway isn't very far away, although for traffic in this direction there is already an overtaking lane. All the dual carriageway does for them is prevent them from using the far left lane (which is unlikely anyway) and improve safety a little as there is less likely to be a head on collision. It also doesn't change the speed limit to 70 instead of 60 as the speed limit is only 40 (and it goes down to 30 the opposite way). Chantry Park is on the right.
