Grade II Listed gabled screen wall of 1863 to the design of J Smith with advice from Joseph Paxton of Crystal Palace fame. Both the LNWR and the Midland Railway had identical gable screens each side of a broad courtyard on the insistence of the Duke of Devonshire. The Midland Railway Station was closed in 1967 and almost completely demolished in 1969-70. The window was restored by DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd in 2009.
