View northward, at cross-roads of A1200 New North Road (right-to-left) and A120 Essex Road (ahead), towards Finsbury Park and Welwyn Garden City/Hertford North: ex-Great Northern & City, later Metropolitan Railway, now NR Northern City Line, in 1991 it was a Network Southeast station. Formerly Canonbury & Essex Road until 11/7/48, it was closed from 5/10/75 until 16/8/76 (reconstructed) on the renovated through electric Northern City Line.
