Seen from the site of the old Ebchester station. The road in the foreground, also seen on the far hillside is the B6309 from Leadgate which follows the line of Dere Street, an old Roman road which passed the Roman fort of Vindomora at Ebchester before continuing onwards towards Corbridge.
