The Recreation Ground dates from around 1900 … originally had its own Park Keeper's Lodge which was situated just behind the sign and in front of the steps … long since demolished. Other sites seem to take much delight in telling us that the Park Keeper was a Mr Fidler. See also … Image Image Image
