View eastward, towards Glossop: ex-GCR Glossop branch off former Manchester - Sheffield main line, electrified 1954 but closed beyond Hadfield 1970 (goods 1981). A local electric service has been retained, Manchester Piccadilly - Hadfield/Glossop with reversal at Dinting. It can be seen that the Up Glossop line and platform was abandoned.
