The Gloster B28/39 First British Jet Aircraft Designed and constructed by Gloster Aircraft Company Ltd. a member of the Hawker Siddeley Group on this site during 1940-41 and powered by the first jet engine invented by Sir Frank Whittle This plaque is also a tribute to all GAC personnel who contributed so much to the 1939-45 war effort Commemorative plaque designed by Gloster Design Services (e&b) ltd.
