Micropubs are a new phenomenon - small premises usually providing an outlet for the products of Britain's many microbreweries that are rarely stocked in tied pubs. Typically they only sell real ale; lager, spirits, wine and food are not available. This one,on South Street, opened in July 2013 in this old shop premises which had previously been a photographers and a juice bar. It acts as the brewery tap for the local Muirhouse Brewery but also sells other ales.
