This was taken from Lord Lane where a crumbling iron fence no longer does its job of keeping people out. The boggy gully is full of fallen trees etc. and is quite a Godforsaken-looking area. What the photo doesn't show is that if you were tempted down into it to explore, the sides are so steep that it would be difficult to climb back out again.
