Access Gate in Flood Defence Wall

This stainlees steel gate is in the flood defence wall that runs along the eastern side of the flood plain of the river Brit and protects the houses in West Bay Rd and West Bay from flooding. the line of the river runs across the middle of the image, marked by the light coloured reeds. A small amount of flood water was leaking under the gate. This large field is used once a year to house the Melplash Show.
