I was smitten when I spotted the byway sign and the bridge in the distance, but then regretted condemning the family car to a trip down here on a very nasty February day in the midst of the wettest and windiest winter for about 200 hundred years (108 mph gusts in Wales today). A cold front and yet another rains storm has just gone through. It doesn't look a bit like the idyllic picture in Image
