With exceptionally high rainfall since December, low-lying land has been flooded since before Christmas, but with water from the River Severn over-topping the levee, measures are being taken here to protect the Rose and Crown public house in Severn Stoke. Large straw bales and sheeting, weighed down by sand bags are being laid in an attempt to protect the pub.
