Adeiladwyd Ysgol Llanedi oddeutu 1839. Bu raid i blant dalu am eu haddysg ond yn 1839 cyfrannodd y rheithor, y Parchedig Samuel Davies a Mr John Jones, Ysw, Cwrt y Ceidrim, y naill £1.00 a'r llall £2.00, at y gost o addysgu wyth plentyn tlotaf y plwyf. Caewyd yr ysgol yn 1922 ac yn 1925 agorwyd ysgol newydd sbond ar yr hewl fawr. Defnyddir yr hen ysgol heddiw fel festri ac fel neuadd gyhoeddus. Llanedi school was built circa 1839. Children had to pay for their education but in 1839 the rector, the Reverend Samuel Davies and John Jones, Esq, of Cwrtyceidrm Mansion, each donated £1.00 and £2.00 respectively towards educating eight of the poorest children within the parish. The old school closed in 1922 and was replaced by a brand-new school in 1925 located on the main highway. The old schoolroom today is used both as the church vestry and as the village hall.
