Looking north from Abbey Bridge towards Radford Junction, where the line to Trowell Junction diverges from the former Midland Railway Leen Valley line (now known as the Robin Hood Line). When the Nottingham station area was resignalled in summer 2013, the line between Lenton North and South Junctions was singled, so this crossover was provided to allow access to and from both the Up and Down lines of the Leen Valley line. Above the rooftops of Lenton, the blackened tower of Holy Trinity church rises (right).
