The picture is taken from Lardon Chase on the other side of the Thames. The two orange hills in the middle distance run down to the Thames, and are part of the Hartslock nature reserve under the aegis of BBOWT (the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust); more information here: http://www.bbowt.org.uk/reserves/Hartslock. Beyond Hartslock are woods of the Chilterns, including the Great Chalk Wood.
