At the junction with St John's Grove, Eleanor Scott's Cottages, Nos.251 to 257 Southcoates Lane, a charming group of Vernacular Revival, single-storey almshouses comprising two semi-detached cottages, built 1908 and designed by T.B. Thompson. Authority to build the almshouses was given when the title of 'the Non-educational Charity of Eleanor Scott' (established by will dated 1713 and codicil dated 1717) was assumed in 1907. All the cottages were demolished circa July 2020.
