It's not yet ten to four, as the church clock shows, but it's very gloomy indeed. The sandstone church, seen from across Church Street (the A655), dates from 1866. "Early English style" http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1313246&searchtype=mapsearch . On the right is the church hall.
