They don't let redundant buildings hang around in Castleford. I've only been in the place just over an hour and, where inspection of the map would have led me to expect a large industrial premises Image], a Victorian school Image], and (here) a Roman Catholic church, I've found empty sites. At least the church, which was only erected in the 1950s and closed in 2009, has been captured on camera at http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=46709554 . And I suppose demolition must be a thriving industry in these parts.
