Ffarm Erw Wastad Fawr oedd hen gartref Teulu'r Priceiaid cyn iddynt symud yn y ddeunawfed ganrif i Blas Newydd. O dua 1860 ymlaen hyd at ei farwolaeth yn 1905 yn 90 oed bu Evan Evans yn trigo yma. Bu'n ddyn mawr yng Nghapel Y Sardis yn Llanedi am hanner can mlynedd ac mae plac er cof amdano o fewn yr addoldy hwnnw (gwerthwyd y capel yn ddiweddar). Prior to 1790 Erw Wastad Fawr Farm (trans. large flat acre) was the ancestral home of the Price Family. From c1860 onwards until his death in 1905 aged 90 it was home to Evan Evans and his family. Evan was a member of nearby Sardis Baptist Chapel in Llanedi and where he played a prominent role for 50 years. A memorial to him can be seen inside the chapel (which was recently sold)
