This is the view from the summit of the medieval road from Wakefield to Halifax (called the Magna Via and here now called Barrowclough Lane). In the foreground an air shaft on the railway tunnel, then Shibden Hall is hidden from sight. In the background Pepper Hill, Shibden Valley and Northowram.
