Taken in March 1996, this photo shows the former tram and bus garage which closed on Saturday 2nd August 1986. It provided tramcars for routes 70 (Birmingham City Centre - Rednal) and 71 (Birmingham City Centre - Rubery) until they were closed on Saturday 5th July 1952. Motorbuses were then provided by this garage for routes 61 (Egghill Lane Estate), 62 (Rednal) and 63 (Rubery) until its closure, after which Birmingham Central Garage in Liverpool Street, Bordesley provided vehicles for these routes. The bus stop in front of the former garage is for Outer Circle route 11C.
