The two-storey building (centre) is the former stationmaster's house at Wark station on the Border Counties line that ran between Hexham and Riccarton Junction http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_Counties_Railway . The line ran in a cutting at the top of the field (marked by the trees).
