Ironstone village hall and village houses. Note the limestone detail. The hall, built in 1871, was once the village school room and the old school bell is still mounted on the porch, see Image This village boasts a very wide main street. Sproxton is pronounced "Sproson" and is one of a group of villages with similar spelling and pronunciation.
