The house was the home of Capt Francis Rawdon Moira Crozier, one of thirteen children of a Banbridge solicitor. Crozier is credited with the discovery in 1848 of the Canadian North West Passage. He and the remnant of the crew took to land after their ship was crushed by the ice and all died in the icy wilderness. The house is today a solicitor's office. A blue plaque honouring Francis Crozier is fixed to the front of the building. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Crozier http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/for-sale-birthplace-of-northern-ireland-arctic-explorer-francis-crozier-34273681.html Image]
