At the more severe end of the Palladian spectrum, but the proportions and restraint lend it great dignity. Built 1769-71 to the designs of John Wood the Younger. Grade I listed. Restored by Albert Richardson and E.A.S Houfe after bomb damage in 1942. Now in the hands of the National Trust.
