This is by the Shropshire Union Canal visitor moorings at Brewood, south of Bridge No 14. (The exact position may be up to fifty metres to the south - I can't quite remember its precise location). Clearly when it was installed, the canal only went from its junction with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at Autherley near Wolverhampton and Nantwich. This was the original Birmingham and Liverpool Junction Canal which met the Chester Canal at Nantwich.
