At no. 43. It reads, "CIRCULATING LIBRARY AND READING ROOM", and, between the first-floor windows, "BOOKSELLERS/BINDERS/AND/STATIONER/STATE/LOTTERY/OFFICE", and is, so says the building's listing, "a fairly rare survival, and of interest". Possibly early C19th, or could it even be late C18th?
