A small patch of ground between Carr brook (which forms part of the boundary of the golf course) and the WCML Macclesfield-Cheadle Hulme branch. Known locally as "The Patch" it is reached by two very low subways under the railway and by a border path along the edge of the golf course from the Ladythorn area of the village. A great place to hang out when you were kids with nothing much to do on a weekend.
