This is the top chamber of the upper staircase (of two) leading up from the River Severn to the Stourport basins and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. Extensive redevelopment of the basins has taken place in recent years. Many new buildings now augment the preserved late eighteenth century listed structures.
