There was a lot of glacial deposition in the Forfar area which has attracted the aggregates industry. This is a newly opened quarry just off the road to Kingsmuir and sheltered by a new strip wood. Like the bigger Lochhead quarry, there was work in progress on Saturday: they are building houses again.
