I have never seen anyone actually creating graffiti so it was a little surprising seeing this man painting the boarded up shops at the junction of Redchurch Street and Bethnal Green Road in broad daylight. He even had all his spray cans on top of the waste bin on the right. Somebody else was taking photographs of him at the same time. I can only therefore assume this was official street art. This part of Tower Hamlets is the street art capital of London. A web site has been created which includes walks and photographs taking in some of the best examples - see http://emilyluxton.co.uk/2012/09/07/east-london-walk-slums-and-stencils/ and http://emilyluxton.co.uk/2012/09/21/east-london-street-art-walk/ For a close up see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3809437 For a close up of him at work see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3809437
