The former stables and carriage storage area of Losehill Hall. This is part of Castleton's latest (replacement) youth hostel. It was previously owned and run as an Environmental Education Centre by the Peak District National Park Authority but is now owned by the YHA who have spent £2M transforming the building into an environmental learning/residential/& activity centre for young people and holiday-makers. It has 144 beds in 36 rooms. The hall was built in 1882 as a family home for Robert How Ashton, J.P., a lead merchant and smelter of Castleton.
