One of NIR's BREL built 80-class sets enters Central Station with a passenger service from Portadown to Bangor. The former Belfast gasworks is prominent in the background, part of this facility later disappearing in a spectacular fireball as the result of a terrorist bomb attack. Little remains of the gasworks site, which has been redeveloped as commercial premises.
