Opened in 1863 on the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway's "Oldham Loop" line from Manchester to Rochdale, this station closed in 1987. It was effectively replaced by Derker, a few hundred metres further south. View north towards the junction (just before the modern building) with Rochdale (right), and Royton (formerly left). The line is now part of Manchester Metrolink.
