The Football Association likes Boxing Day Fixtures to be relatively easy for fans to attend so they often throw up derby matches. Local rivals Wingate & Finchley and Hendon went head to head on Boxing Day 2013. Here a Hendon defender (in orange) gets in the clearance despite a heavy shoulder charge by Wingate's striker. The referee decided it was a bit too heavy and blew up for a free kick. The keenly fought game was won 1-0 by Wingate & Finchley though a draw might have been fair to both sides.
