A pair of Northern Rail class 150/1 diesel units, with 150138 bringing up the rear, pauses at Hazel Grove while working the 1124 from Buxton to Manchester Piccadilly. The footbridge visible in the distance carries a public footpath over the railway and thus does not form part of the station, despite its location across the west ends of the platforms.
